Has been a weird strange day ever in terms of coincidences!
For those people who know me well, I am quite a weird person in terms of strange things are always happening to me,. For example, I frequently say things that are on peoples minds before they say them or can correctly guess random things about others. Little random things happen to me too, and only so many things can happen to me before I can say “oh its simply a coincidence!” hah so anyways im going about my day as you do just walking back from the library, standard procedure. I then suddenly bump into someone who I haven’t really seen or spoke to properly for a good three years. I anticipate things to be awkward and surely enough we have the most static uncomfortable conversation as we run through the obvious “how are you, how’s uni, how’s your course” questions. Thankfully we quickly part ways and for a minute or two I’m left thinking wow that was strange. Even stranger since I’ve seen this particular person once on a night out and the situation was completely different then; we both ran to give each other a hug and had a legit conversation. Sad isn’t it how your relationship with someone can be completely different when the both of you are intoxicated.
Anyways, minutes later I then see another person who I haven’t spoken to for a good three years; my old best friend (whom I am no longer on talking terms with.) I’ve actually seen her one other time and we both exchanged smiles; a smile which occurs once more. Real or fake? Who knows but it’s a smile nonetheless. I find it so peculiar how in this world you can grow so close to another person, share so many positive memories and actually care and love for each other as friends, yet years later find it hard to even exchange genuine words with another. As I walk off my mind is plagued with thoughts; if anybody had said to me years ago “you and your best friend will end up at the same university but you wont even be talking” I’d never of believed them! However many things have happened that I never ever would have believed. That’s life I guess.
Later on in the day I meet up with a random girl (I am selling her my carnage t-shirt, I don’t just make random acquaintances with strangers) and whilst I worry that I wont recognise her, I am drawn to her because I notice that she has the exact same bag as me. As she then pulls out her purse to give me the money, I see that we have the exact same purse! Weird or what.
My day ends nicely as I go out to dinner with one of my mates :) however whilst we’re talking away we discover that we have a lot of things in common. This eventually freaks him out more than me as I’m getting so used to this weird “coincidence” thing happening with me and other people now!
